Crawlspaces are one of the many important features of a
home. Without them, there would be no way to access the structure’s electrical
and plumbing systems should they ever be in need of repair or replacement. Most
of the time, crawlspaces need to be vented to allow air to circulate from the
space to the building exterior. Depending on where you live, however, venting a
crawlspace can be suboptimal; the vents may introduce humid exterior air into
the property, causing excess moisture in building materials, which can lead to
a multitude of problems.
